2021 & 2022 St Mary's, Sellindge
Despite the snow, people came out to catch their last minute Christmas gifts.
In addition to the fantastic assortment of quality art there was hot soup.
And live violin music from Alice Hall from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

The aim with Molly Newton was to facilitate a community project that would unite the fractured and isolated local community with the influx of new residence. Due to massive housing developments within the area, there was a sense of isolation and anxiety in the community from a year of Covid.
Positioned 12 days before Christmas 2021 to enable last minute shopping, this project was made possible due to the kind generosity and group effort of the artists, to clear decades of accumulated waste, tidy and clean the building which had been sealed throughout Lockdown. Using strong media coverage and video projections of the artist's work, the footfall and sales were amazing. Thanks to Stour Downs Parish and Sellindge Parish Council. |
