August - September 2019
The aim was to integrate an indigenous and rural community with the influx of a new and commuter resident, due to a statuary programme to build 14,000 new homes in a rural area.
Devising a tapestry made up of indigenous and edible food, Lorrain locally sourced the materials and travelled around the area and its amenities, so everyone could contribute. This offered any participate whatever their ability an equal status in contributing to the finished work, with a stitch or more, without casting judgement on their skill. Once completed it was displayed in St Mary’s till November 2021. |
